The roofer that does the estimates gets paid a small flat rate per estimate and a percentage of the profit of each job he lands. The compensation for the estimates is a seperate line item on his check.

I have not been able to find a way around it. Any money paid to employees is subject to taxes and w/c insurance. Doesn't seem fair but I am sure that some would take advantage of the situation if it was otherwise.>>>
