The Ins. Cos. have already set the precedent with organic shingles, now what about other materials..... roofing, fencing, boards, siding..... will they pay for damage caused by UV rays?

It all depends on coverage and endorsements. As long as it is spelled out in the insurance policy, it's covered! The policy, a legal contract between the insured and the insurance company, it is a shared risk.

The biggest issue is that no one ever reads their insurance policy. Have your clients ask their insurance agents to explain their particular coverages... What's covered and what's not! If it's not covered ask the agent why and can it be covered.
