Holencik Roofing Commercial
« Back To Roofers TalkHi lefty, Very nice>>>
Nice! Well put together. Has anyone ever objected to the bird? I really like the idea of the bird. It helps your jobs stand out without being obtrusive.>>>
Very nice Lefty, I'm with Terry about the signature sparrow. A novel idea. Good Luck with the commercial. PC>>>
Lefty- That is neat. What is the bird made from? I can see a line as if it is a two piece mold so I assume it is either metal or plastic.>>>
Very well done, my friend. Very well done.
My hat's tipped to the vid crew, editor, and the Holencik gang.>>>
I did notice that I've mispronounced your name every time I've introduced you. Always said Holencik with an "s" instead of a "ch" sound............ and you never said a word. What a classy guy.>>>
Hi GKRFG,
They are cast aluminum. I get them off "Old Schools" brother.>>>
Hi MikeNZ,
I have been putting them on my shingle roof and gutter jobs for about 5 or 6 years now. We probably have 1000 jobs with one of these birds on.
The creative people came to us with the turtle idea. I knew that idea was not the right one. So I told them the sparrow was our trade mark. When they did the research into the meaning of the sparrow, they asked me how I came across the idea. I said "I just knew it was right. He said the sparrow was the perfect idea. The sparrow symbolizes trust and dedication".
I do alot of things that I can not explain. When ask all I can say is, "it is the right thing".>>>
Hi MikeH,
The pronuciation is not quite right on the commercial. My name has been butchered so bad. For how close you were, was good enough for me. :)
People alot smarter then me have told me, that your pronuciation is correct.>>>
Lefty,
I talked to those people first. I thought they hadn't told you yet. ;)>>>
Wow Lefty. That's really great. I too love the Sparrow idea.
I would love to do something like that. Do the make other birds or animals?
>>>
Is there any kind of decoy effect, i.e. attracting unwanted sparrows? Does anybody decline?>>>
Is it really a good thing to give your customer the bird when your done? :silly: I love the idea.>>>
Hi Lefty, I can tell that you "really care about roofing" very nice! :)>>>
Lefty, that is brilliant! What a good use for my brothers birds. He also sells them painted nicely. My sister does them by hand. He has a blue jay and a cardinal as well as the sparrow or wren. Check out his Fish boots for a elbow at the bottom of a downspout. H has converters for 2x3 to round. Very nice.
