Heart Issue
« Back To Roofers Talk:) VA has finally decided that 2-4 is the date for Plan A, or B, etc, up to Plan H. (Unless they cn work me in sooner.) I probably won't be around for some time. At least it's been fun so far! Wife and I watched the Plan B operation on the TV, THe Doc said during hte operation, This doesn't always work." Lou nearly fainted which made me laugh harder. I hope she makes it. B)
Anyway, have fun and poke all you want! I'm going into this laughing and joke make that easier. Laughter has always been the best medicine.
I just wanted to let everybody know I've enjoyed my years here, and who knows, I may be back! If not, it's been great and i love all of you! :)
Frank, best wishes and we will talk with you when you get back to yourself. If it doesn't work out, we all have to go sometime and to be able to work on the roofs up until you pass would be a dream. My father is 93 and he is confined to a bed with a catheter just waiting to die. It is hell and he never wanted that. The problem is that he is healthy as a horse, but doesn't know what is going on. He is back in WWII right now. Carry on!
Frank, I'll be thinking of you as well. I've appreciated your sense of humor and encouraging comments. This forum community has been a place to vent frustrations and get recharged . . . wishing only the best for you and yours.
I am confident you will pull through. Heaven is not ready for you yet! I will put it on my calendar so I can pray for you, the doctors and your wife all day!
See you back in a few days. get well quick.
Thanks for the well wishes. Did I mention they had lots of plans to fall back on?? They left out the verbal one the Doc quoted me, "At this point, we just throw up our hands and say 'Oh Well!'"
Well! Suddenly, I can't add a pic, it just goes to a URL now. My RCS albums with no relationship to the pic. I'll put it on FB with my other post there.
Here's the FB link. Since it's public, you should be able to read it without being a member.
Sorry Tinner: We got hit by a hacker, we are trying to clean it up now.
I wouldn't fret Vickie. I talked to Frank. I don't think he's really sick. He's just trying to keep LouAnn on her toes.
;)
I better leave her alone for awhile! She just broke my RCS coffee mug. :(
Somebody else step up and bug her for awhile.
Then I will just have to send you another one!
Good luck frank, praying for you and your wife and family.
Well, I went to preadmissions yesterday and any chance of this being optional went out the window when they looked at the EKG. When I asked what the pacemaker comment, which was a new thing, kicked out by the machine meant, the Doc said my heart must be getting mixed signals. When I mentioned a recent 'event' in the middle of the night, they said time was nearly up and I should have come to the ER and to come in if it happens again and doesn't kill me before I get there. :)
I asked for 20 Viagra pills to help me pass the next week and they refused. Lou said that if they did, I was on my own!
Hah. You'll be fine, my Dad got an "engine tuneup" about 5-6 years ago. Good as new. Quadruple bypass.
Those docs are awesome these days. Also, you being a little more comfortable in the buff can't hurt anything!
Does anyone in here know how to reach Tinner's bride to check up on him?
Some wonderful visitors showed up from out of town yesterday and treated the wife and I to a wonderful Wake which was enjoyed by all. Well, I enjoyed it! :) Most people aren't lucky enough to meet such outstanding folk, nor have such a nice time. Thank you Mike and Lefty! I just they had a good time. I'm not much of a host and to be honest, I feel lost when off the roof.
Frank, here is my eulogy. LOL
It was a pleasure to spend time with Frank and LouAnn. They showed us around Richmond. We also got to see a lot of Franks work and his shop.
It is always an honor to be in another man's shop. A different time and we could have spent a week there and learned from a Master Craftsman. We only got one lesson. It was bueatiful to watch Frank pick up a piece of tin and quickly make two panels and show us how to form a double lock standing seam. He had Mike doing it in a matter of minutes.
I found that Frank like myself is most at peace when on a roof. It is rare to find people who find peace sitting in an oven.LOL The rest of the world does not exist for us, when we are up on a roof practicing our craft.
I can honestly tell you that Frank is the only person I have met with a very bad heart, that I would let drive me around. I laughed to myself getting in the car that his heart could give out at anytime. I was at total peace with it. I knew that Frank is going to be alright. I never gave it another thought till the ride home.
I would like to thank Vickie for making all this possible. Also would like to thank Frank and LouAnn for showing us around and the great stories and conversation. It is always great to be with Mike.
Here is a couple of pictures of us.
