Full-time, In-house SMI Technical Department

Sheffield Metals understands your technical needs, which is why we have a full-time Technical Department to assist you with your standing seam metal roofing projects. This team is comprised of individuals who have worked in their respective fields for a combined 50+ years of experience of installing, designing, and inspecting technical metal roof and wall systems.

We regularly help contractors, manufacturers, architects, and property owners with a variety of technical topics, including:

• Panel testing and engineering
• Proper panel profile selection
• Installation details
• Architectural submittals
• Installation methods and best practices
• Estimating services
• Warranty inspections and support
• Rollforming equipment training

The Technical Department also handles all of the weathertight warranties in-house and performs the inspections personally without the use of third-party inspectors.
