Update on Tinner
« Back To Roofers TalkI got an email from his bride LouAnn this morning...
"He is doing well, sitting up, had dinner consisting of broth cranberry juice and boost. He eats a lot of ice. Flirting with his nurse, he like this one, he didn't like the one he had all weekend, neither did I, we had words last night. Frank does have a temporary pace maker, the wire was bad & her roaming aroung facebooking and God know what else she was doing.. his Pace maker cuts off & they only have 10 seconds to fix it or he is dead. So his still isn't totally out of the woods yet. Keep the prayers going."
"This is now Tues. morning, & Frank is doing well still very weak. but has been taken for a little walk yesterday. Last evening when I got to the hospital he was sitting up eating dinner which consisted of beef broth. breeze, jello, cranberry juice & ice tea. He ate every thing but the beef broth - he does not like it and because they gave him beef instead of chicken for lunch. Every day he is getting better. I'll keep in touch."

Today's update....
"Hi family & friends sending this because I am so happy, Frank has been moved from ICU to a private room today, he is also on solid food. He walked from ICU to new room brought tears to my eyes. Still on Pace Maker but it has been turned down still trying to ween him off of it. His heart rate today is 57 compared to the last few days which was 29 - 30. I'm sending pictures of him sitting up eating his lunch, & when he looks out the window he is happy because he can watched them doing construction. That's Frank you have to love him." LuAnn

Good to see him in that position. I wonder how long for Frank to tell the doctor he can solder smoother than that they can stitch a zipper.
Just talked to the old fart, and it sounds like he's getting back to normal quickly. Little weak when it came to talking for a long period, and he put Lu on the phone, but hadn't talked to her for more than about 10 minutes and she had to go, as he decided to get up and go down the hall. She don't trust him off by himself.
Been able to watch some workers outside his window, and he's been critiquing the methods from his window. Probably another 90 days until he could even hope to be back on a roof, but he's progressing rather well.

This, though I didn't reaiize it, marked a huge change in my status. HR had started dropping, and I felt weak all evening. Then, HR dropped below 40 and I kept the whole staff on their toes for the whole night. Next morning, all the cardiac staff were around and had meetings all day. I kinda leveled at 45 so they said they'd watch me Thurs. night. That night was tough and really kept staff busy. Fri, lots of analyzing data and more meetings, then the whole EP crew came in and said the Pacemaker proceducre could be done then. A crew was readying the room downstairs and I was rushed there by wheelchair, tossed on the tablbe. An hour later, I was back in my room with a HR of 60 running pretty smooth. (HR is 'Heart Rate'.)
Sunday, night I got a leaky neck at the site and an ER Doc had to come up and fix things.

Frigging idiots are working alongside a 2-story addition and using APP to work around the posts. Even with a 40-50 sq. shed over them, they left the APP, shop vacs, etc. outside in the weather.  How much trouble could it be to move the stuff into the dry 10' away? :woohoo: I'd fire all of them!
:) BTW, I'm home on the 12th. day! :)
WOO HOO !!!
Way ta go.... Ya old fart!!
LOL
Frank, Glad to hear you are doing good.
Nice scar Frank B)
They cut his heart open and he is pissed about the workers on the roof... go figure! That scar looks like something on my knees after they replaced them. cute! Are you chasing the nurses up and down the hall naked? That and the large scar on your chest would scare the hell out of them. Get better my friend!
